the end of 2014 is nearing

Its been ages since I have written anything at all. So much has happened, so much life.. but now I'm ready to get back into the blogging and keeping in touch with family and friends.
Well  more permanently in my wheelchair now, not finding any cures for anything i have.. just pretty much trying to keep me pain free for now.
Our hogan passed on this past September, just a week before my birthday.. the saddest day yet of my life.. but a few days after my birthday we bought a new pup, a 3 month old German shepherd we named Thor, hammer of justice.. he is akc registered and all black.. a love for sure..
Steven is still at Comcast and feels fortunate to have a job, with so many people that are jobless.. He is doing great, stressed at times but nothing he cant handle.
Sonny is doing great in 10th grade. his grades are much better than last years. He has a few close friends and is becoming more independent and venturing out more on his own.
both Steven and Sonny are the loves of my life..
Thanksgiving just passed and the day after we had a sort of reunion  It was nice having both my sisters here with their families.. or part of their families.. just so much fun with all the kids here.. and very heartwarming to have both  my sisters here. I love them both dearly. I feel so fortunate to have them both in my life.

Mom and dad are doing great . getting on in years but active as ever. I love being around them. Love all the love i get from them. They are so kind and caring. I learn so much from them and my heart heals with all the love they give me.
well that's all for now.. will post more pics and  more words soon.. hopefully i can keep up with this..
bless you all and merry Christmas..

Summer 2011

Summer is soon coming to an end. Its been a crazy summer here.. It went by so fast.

First off you all have to know that Sonny has a new girlfriend. Her name is Jenny. I was praying so long for someone to enter our lives that would be a help to us. I was looking in all the wrong places. This child, Jenny was truly a Godsend. THe universe heard me thoroughly when I asked for her. She has become a part of our family. She is so helpful, kind, caring and I have to tell you keeps us all giggling and happy. Shes 13 and has been more helpful to me than most adults that have been here to help. She helps out with chores, tending to the animals, cleaning, and checking on me all through the day, bringing me water, helping me get to places around the house. All we have to do is ask.. and she has no problems doing what we ask. Her parents, I have to say, are the most patient and kind people I know. Jenny basically spent the whole summer with us. They really did a wonderful job raising her. They are the most selfless people I know. I keep them in my prayers and I have to find a way to thank them for allowing Jenny to be with us. SHes a bubbly teen ager with a desire to learn. Shes learned how to sew. She has an incredible sense of how to put things together while sewing and has shown me that she has the talent to become a wonderful seamstress. Of course being 13 , she gets a little impatient.. and that’s ok.. We got home from the shore tonight and within half hour she whipped together an eye blindfold for me when I sleep.. NO patterns.. nothing. She saw a picture and poof.. there it was.. She is great with the pets. We got her a hamster, she wanted her own pet while she was here, and the hamster is what she wanted. She cares for it, cleans it, without having being told to. She loves that little pet for sure. She named it Cheerio.. how cute is that. She bakes cookies, ( steven loves her for that) and loves to help Steven cook at night. Shes learning new recipes and new ways of doing things. We love taking her shopping.. She loves picking out clothes for Sonny too. What gf wouldn’t love picking out her bfs clothes lol. Of course all at our discretion!!!

Now.. Leandra, our eldest grand daughter was here for a visit. Just for a week. I havent seen her in two years. She has grown. My how shes grown ! It was so wonderful having her here. Her too, loves to sew. One night her and Jenny decided to play a prank on Sonny. Pictures to follow.. How funny was that. I think they bonded, in a girl sort of way. Leandra is really turning out to be quite the young lady. I worry about her but hopefully we will be able to see her more often now. Some lessons learned this week., and its all good. She too was very willing to help out. She spent one day with Mom and Dad. Mom took her to sewing at the howell farm.. its was great, she had a wonderful time. She learned how to make Yoyos out of fabric. It didn’t seem like there was enough time with her. I was pretty sick all week, so kind of out of the loop. I look forward to being with her again soon.. After of course we take our other grand daughter Ilanna for a week or so.. Its only fair.. Both together.. Not so much lol.. Its better to give them individualized attention .. They are old enough and Im sure welcome the chance to be away and have a special time with me, steven and sonny.

So here are some pics that we have taken. I hope you all enjoy them.

First Beach Day of 2011

Well we finally went to the shore. After a few exhausting weeks at Stevens job, he decided it was time for a mental health day.. so we took off for Island Beach State Park.. Our favorite beach.

We left early in the morning to reach the beach at a good hour. Steven, Sonny, Jen ,Cookie and me. We called the vet and were able to give Cookie some children's strength Dramamine to keep her from throwing up. She did well for the whole trip, although she did throw up once when we were almost there. But otherwise, she did well. THe trip was hard on my body.. but it was sooo worth it.

IT was a beautiful day at the shore. The breeze was blowing, you could feel a slight coolness in the breeze on the beach. We stayed until around 3pm. 6 hours on the beach. Needless to say , even though we used SPF30, we all got sunburn.. But it was great and now we will tan. Sonny didnt go in the water too much.. he wasnt into it. I think he was tired and on some level didnt want to leave me alone, knowing I was in pain.

We had some lunch there. Steven and Jen had a great time in the water. Steven got his much needed water fix.... and i got my much needed surf fix. Just letting the surf take my pain away as well as any upset within me.

Cookie wasn't too sure about it all. She didn't want to wander too far from me. Steven got her to the water and walked her around a bit, but she was content laying on her cooling mat next to me, and watching the people as they were going by, begging them to come play with her. She certainly was the center of attention.

Jen, too, had a great time. Seemed like she couldn't get enough of the water. Had so much fun.

Here are some pics of that day:

Cookie

I wanted to share with you some pictures of Cookie, our baby Yorkie.Spoiled beyond being spoiled, I started making some dresses for her as well as some bows. After doing so, Ive taken the advice of friends and family and am going to make some pup dresses and sell them in my store. We are going to name her clothing line.. Cookie Couture.. how sweet is that? so here are some pics.
