Tiffney's Baby Shower

What a glorious event and we couldn't have asked for a better day!! The shower was held at a pavilion inside Shenanthaha Park in Ballston Lake, NY. It is a beautiful park filled with walking and biking trails. Just so happens the pavilion was adjacent to a huge playground.

Tifney and Andy (mommy and daddy to be) along with their little girl Brianna (sister to be) had a great time and were the recipients of many well wishes and some really awesome gifts. There was a lot of laughter, games and great food.

                                                  

 

I also got to see my nephew Jason and his Fiance, Ashley, as well as my sister Nancy.

 

The shower was given by Tifney's mom, Holly, Andy's mom, Nancy (also my sister) and Tifneys good friend Erin.

There were cool activities, like creating bibs and onesies for the new baby, Addyson.

The food was yummy , as well as the cake !!

The decorations were awesome too !!

  

Gifts are always fun, and what a beautiful assortment of presents for baby Addyson!

Sadly though we did miss the presence  of my younger sister Annette who couldn’t be with us due to a back injury. She was with us in our hearts though, as well as my brother George who was working . Its not often the whole family gets together at one time.. and we were fortunate to be able to share this event with Tifney, Andy and Brianna.

Sonny at Fort William Henry

By 1689, the British and French were the predominate nations in the New World. Wars for land, water passages and trade had been fought between these nations for years on the European continent, spilling over into North America. The final conflict, 1754-1763, is known as the French & Indian War and the Seven Years War.
Sitting atop a small rise, Fort William Henry commanded the southern end of Lake George November 1755 to August 1757. The Fort’s history is short but its final tumultuous days have been retold, although inaccurately, in the  “Last of the Mohicans” by James Fennimore Cooper
Sonny went to Ft. William Henry with my long time friend and his Godmother Kitty Brooks.We thought it would be a great adventure for him to be on instead of being at the baby shower, plus it gave him the opportunity to spend time with Kitty.
On Friday night he stayed with his cousins, Andy and TIf, and his little cousin Brianna. He loves being with them. He got to see their new little kitten and of course fell absolutely in love with him.

Last but not least, Aunt Kitty took him apple picking !!

They walked around Lake George for a bit before going back home, where they made Rice Krispie Treats and watched movies. Sonny had a great time with his Aunt Kitty.

Happy Birthday!!

We had a wonderful dinner tonight. Steven cooked grilled chicken, sauteed green beans and boiled potatoes. First though we had Prosciutto and melon. We ended the dinner with a fine , sugar free rum cake.. YUM !.
Today I also share my day with my Older Sister Nance. Shes three years older than me. So incase you see this, Happy Birthday Nancy..!!!
I got some really cool gifts. Steven is always great at buying me special gifts, he always knows what I like.. Sonny too!!
I did get my Raggedy Andy doll to go with my Raggedy Ann.. A really cool giraffe calendar for next year and some cool giraffe collectors buttons from mom and dad.. Also got a check from mom and dad to go spend on craft supplies,  and a gift card from Steven for a set of copic markers.. YAY..
I got so many facebook friends that also wished me a happy birthday.. too many to mention.. it has been a great day.
