Storm Chasers.. we can be at times. This was a perfect opportunity for us to witness, first hand, what a hurricane looks like at the shore. The hurricane was way off shore, but the effects of it could still be seen. The winds were high, but not unbearable. You can hear it in the video. Never the less, the ocean was in turmoil. Not something to be trifled with. On the other hand, we had the shore all to ourselves. ..
Steven found a jelly fish washed up on shore, and of course he rescued it, hopefully. It was big..
And of course we had to play around with the sanderlings. They were playing grab ass the whole time, posturing and playing tag. It was fun to watch them and they didn't seem that afraid of us.
The clouds were as marvelous and spectacular as the surf was.. So much beauty, such intensity.
And of course we all took the opportunity for a photo shoot of us!!!
We watched and watched. We actually saw some dolphins, pretty close, but weren't able to get them on camera. It was mesmerizing to say the least.
As it got darker out, we took some of these photos..
I hope you all enjoyed the pictures that we could share with you. We took tons more, too many to post, but these were the best of the best.. Goodbye Hurricane Earl and thanks for giving us such a photo op !!
Its getting late now and I am going to post this, and in the morning I will surely post some video !! Night all !!!
